The Democratic Republic of the Congo concluded its inaugural sovereign investor day in London this week, with senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank of the Congo, and partner institutions engaging with leading institutional allocators across two days of structured meetings.

The event marks the first standalone investor outreach of its kind organized under the DRC Welcomes Capital framework, an initiative designed to provide investors with structured access to official information, sovereign updates, and investment-related resources.

A medium-term reform agenda

Officials presented the medium-term reform agenda anchored on macroeconomic stability, public finance modernization, and the development of domestic capital markets. The Minister of Finance highlighted the disinflation trajectory, the strengthening of fiscal execution, and the gradual diversification of the financing mix.

The capital markets agenda for 2026 emphasizes transparency, predictability of issuance, and improved disclosure standards. Discussions covered the planned medium-term debt strategy, the framework for sustainable issuance, and ongoing institutional modernization.
